problems with YDL 2.2 and a PowerMac 4400/160

hy all,
I'm very new with linux after years of Mac OS (and a bit of Mickeysoft) so I
was very proud to have managed the YDL 2.2 installation on my old PowerMac
4400/160 (with a 20 GB HD and 96 MB RAM). But I was to fast in beeing proud
because several problems appeared. Can anyone help me - a newbie willing to
learn but knowing nothing?
1st problem: during installation the network configuration failed. It seems,
that the Ethernet-card is not accepted. Do I need a special driver? Where
can I get it and how can I install it?
2nd problem: the x-windows system does not work because my monitor seems not
to be supported. how can I make YDL 2.2 work with my old 14'' Performa
monitor and how can I change the configuration for a new 17'' monitor which
I will get in a couple of weeks?
3rd problem: which keyboard driver do I have to chose during installation to
use a german ADB-keyboard with all those Umlaute and a "qwertzu"-design? how
can I change this (in the text mode)?
