CD/Installation/Everything problems

I just tried putting the contents of the install folder in the root
directory of the CD and then going into Open Firmware. After that, I typed
'boot cd:ofboot.b". The screen flashed (my heart jumped) and then went back
to the OF screen with "can't OPEN: cd:,\\yaboot". Trying the same thing
with yaboot instead of ofboot.b produces the same error message (though no
screen flashing).

I am by no means an OF guru- the only reason I know those commands is from
looking around in archives. I don't even know if they are the right
commands- but they do produce a result.

So.. any help would be greatly appreciated.
