If I understand you correctly, yesI have, frequently.

Start Oroborosx.

Open a Terminal.

I run a bash shell, so at the prompt, 'export DISPLAY=3D:0.0'
OR
add that line to your .profile permanently.  I did.

Then use 'ssh -X hostname'.

Now anything I run on the remote host is displayed on my Mac through the
SSH connection.  I use 'ssh -X' so much that I aliased it to 'ssh' in my
profile.  I use this almost daily at work and form home to administer my
network service and database servers.
