remote X?

Has anyone successfully performed a remote X connection from MacOS X 
[client] to any Linux [server] ? I have followed all the various 
directions available at http://oroborosx.sourceforge.net/remotex.html 
and none of them worked for me (server: runlevel 5/gdm - have tried RH 
8.0 and YDL 2.3 as servers).

If you have succeeded in this endeavor, would you please post a how-to?
