Kimball, I followed your advice and got these results:
rpm -q kdebase yielded :kdebase-2.2.2-1d
kdebase-3.0.0-2b
Then I ran rpm -e --test kdebase-2.2.2-1dToRemove and got:
package kdebase-2.22.2-1dToRemove is not installed.
I also ran rpm -e --nodeps kdebase-2.2.2-1dToRemove and got the same mess=
age=20
that it is not installed.=20
Running apt-get check yields: There are two or move versions of the pack=
age=20
'kdebase' installed , ......
I don't get it.=20
