Hi Folks,
I've installed YDL 2.1 on a 7600 PPC with 256 megs of Ram. The drive
configuration is at the bottem this message.

The first problem is that I cannot get the machine to access the
internet. (This is a great improvement over not being able to Ping it's own
IP addy...) Anyway, I told YDL to use DHCP when I installed it. Despite
this, the only way I can ping my own router (D-Link DI-714) after the boot,
is if I run dhcpcd and route. That allows me to ping my router and computers
on my own network, but no further. I think I need to edit a scrupt file, but
am not sure how or which. Further, I had an Internet connection for a bit
yesterday, so I know it can be done! But am not sure what I did beyond
DHCPCD and ROUTE. (Didn't think I did anything but must have.)

Problem two is just weird. When I add a second external HD to the SCSI
chain, YDL won't boot. The setup works fine in MacOS. If I set BootX to to
/dev/sda7 as a root partion, i get a kernel panic. If I leave the root
partition blank, I get as far as loading the terminals (I think) and then the
system notes that they are respawning too quickly, kills them for five
minutes and then hangs.

Finelly: YUP. Part of the problem is the network connection, but even when
I had a connection up yesterday YUP ended with an error. I can't be more
specific because YUP wasn't... Just "error:" . I suppose that should wait
until I get the networking fixed thought.

Thanks in advance. Drive configuration is at the end.

Cheers,
Jerry George
