trouble with X on G4 with Radeon

Have YD2.2 up and running very well with ATI rage128. I also have a Radeon
mac edition 32MB PCI card. Now i can get X to work, but only in 8 bit coler
and its very fuzzy looking. Have tried changing the XF86Config-4 file, but
had no luck. Xconfiguration picks up the card ok(as
OFfb/pci@2000000/pci-bridge@/aty,RADE), but if i pick anything except 8bit
with no exeleration it doesn't boot. I running a G4 (sawtooth) 500, with
1GigRAM, and a apple 15in flatscreen monitor.  ANyone got a working
Xf86Config-4 file i could try?
