Installer can't find hard drive

Computer G4 dual proc 1gz mirror drive door model
80 gb drive 3 Macintosh partitions running OS 10.2.1 256 mb memory

The installer for YD 2.3 stops when it claims it can not find the 
hard drive. I made one partition Free space and the other 3 HFS+. I 
have a similar setup on a Titanium Power book that works quite well.

The G4 is using 100mz bus for the drive.

The booklet that came with the CD set is no help.

Will an additional drive fix this or what am i doing wrong. Jerry
