Problems Using 'apt-get' in TDL 2.3

I remember an earlier discussion on this and now after a new install on t=
his=20
cube I am faced with the same problem.  In an effort to speed up my KDE=20
system (cube - n450MHz) I am looking to install the newer (update) versio=
n of=20
qt.  Trouble is my machine barks back at me that the newer version is alr=
eady=20
installed ... which I know is wrong.  I remember I have to change somethi=
ng=20
to get updates working smoothly ... one of the scripts from 2.2 to 2.3.  =
can=20
anyone please throw some light on this ??
