ISO image problems- truncated names?

FWIW, I have a Dual Processor G4-1GHz. After 6 weeks of effort and the $30
YDL support, I still do not have working (>8 bit depth) video, but I have
worked through all other kinks.

The only place it is documented is on the lists and on the g4 page in the
"Supported Hardware" section.

Actually, they have also now (first time I noticed!) made the beta
windtunnel ISO public (look for it in the above URL) which claims to support
ATA100. I would definitely suggest using this ISO first unless you are
really into doing things the dirty way.

Yes.

You should be able to put both on the ATA66 and they are probably already
jumpered to get their master/slave status from the cable. If changing Buses
is a problem, perhaps try the Windtunnel ISO; it likely solves it but I
still have mine on the 66 so I don't know for sure. Likely you will have to
use that ISO anyway if you ever want to have Network Setup work out of the
box:)

You will also want to look into the Yaboot hack that I posted on the
ydl-general list. Otherwise, Yaboot will never boot anything for you. The
most up-to-date Yaboot does not work with Windtunnels, even with the beta
ISO. You will have to edit a config file and re-run ybin, so it is no big
deal.

Also, what video card do you have? YDL doesn't support much. I downgraded
from Radeon 9000 Pro to Radeon 7000 only to have no luck getting the 7000 to
work:( If 8 bit color is good enough, you don't need to bother, but
otherwise, obviously I have nothing to suggest as neither I nor the YDL
support have been able to get anything better than that.
