"No hard disks found" with YDL 2.3 on new dual 1GHz G4

Has anyone encountered the "no hard disk found"
message when installing YDL 2.3 on one of the new
dual-mirrored door dual 1GHz G4s? I have an 80GB drive
and I've formatted it two ways:

Partition 1: 20GB "free"
Partition 2: 60GB Mac HFS+

as well as reversed (Mac HFS+ first, then "free").

No matter what I do, the YDL installer always says "no
hard disks found".

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
