I run YDL 2.3 on the a 2002 dual usb ibook.
Everything I use is supported: sound, X, console, wireless,
ethernet, USB. The modem has no drivers yet, but there
are closed source intel drivers and I read somewhere
on a mailinglist that ppc is being worked upon.

Installation is a problem, because when you boot
from CD, the harddisk is not recognized. This is
a kernel problem.
There are ways to get around this, but it's not easy.
I installed debian first, and used that to install
yellowdog.
