Enable SMP

Hey Dylan, I'm in the same boat. There's a SMP kernel RPM available on the
FTP site that I've installed but I've only gotten "entering SMP mode,
processor 1 stuck" whenever I boot. I've also tried compiling from scratch
from the 2.4.19 tarball. Same result.

The next thing on the list that I'm going to try is going back to 2.4.18 or
previous. 2.4.19 is kinda screwy I've heard on both ppc and x86 hardware.
I've tried compiling .20-preN kernels but haven't got a successful build
yet.

Subject: Enable SMP

Hi,

I'm running YDL 2.3, Kernel 2.4.19-4a. KDE 3.0.1. I was wondering if there
is
anyway to enable the current kernel or get a different kernel so that it
will
let Linux take advantage of my Dual PPC 604's (2 x 180MHz). Any help is
appreciated.

TIA,
Dylan
