Installation issue - please help!

First off you haven't said how big the HD is and how much memory you have.
These are important in the install. Just leaving the last 200MB is not a
guarantee to eliminate bad sectors. You should run a quality utility and do
a low level format and block out bad sectors. If you have an old drive and
some sectors start to go bad then the while disk is probably ready to fail.

Let us know what the specs for your machine are.
