Howdy All,

Yup. I tried create an xDSL connection via the Network Configuration tool
several times, and was sure to set it to DHCP. No luck on any account.

I took a careful look at the installed packaged under YLDL 2.3, and did find the
Roaring Penguin v3.3 for PPPoE. Apparently, Earthlink requires me to configure
for PPPoE (my OS X is set up for the same, luckily without difficulty).
However, there seems to be a missing file "adsl-setup"), which in all the
documentation on line seems to be required. I read the Man pages for PPPOE,
Adsl*, etc. and wasn't able to come up with anything that made sense. There's
a "see also" under the PPPOE man page of pppoe.conf(5) - but my system reports
no such man page...

I feel like I'm slowly honing in on a possible solution, but it's very
frustrating. Any other suggestions or shared experiences in getting Earthlink
DSL (pppoe) running would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

~ Brian
