I think it's possible, but I haven't test is yet.

b) Netatalk is the tool which makes macintosh clients able to exchange
data with linux machines. It also has a printer server (papd)
integrated which could work with your epson printer (read the manuals
of netatalk or ask the mailing list:
http://netatalk.sourceforge.net/).

a) The counterpart of netatalk is afpfs, a tool which allows linux to
be an appleshare client. Here you can get it:

BUT: this tool is absolutely alpha and not developed any more - as far
as I know.

So here my advice: if you do not really need to use shares of an OS 9
client I would prefer other solutions as afpfs to connect macs.
Because OS X is able to share files over SMB or NFS. Here are some
