It looks like it uses Bochs which is considerably slower than VirtualPC 
in my experience.  You don't really want to emulate an operating system 
that can run natively on your system anyway, or do you...?  It sounds 
like you want a LinuxOnMac (opposite of MacOnLinux) approach but it 
just hasn't been developed yet.  Potentially it could be, but 
apparently there aren't any developers who care to develop such a 
thing.  But maybe someday we'll have one.

On the upside, MacOnLinux works very well with the experience I have 
with it and OS X is only marginally slower than it would be when run on 
its own.  If you want a setup that will allow you to run both ppc linux 
and Mac OS X (or OS 9 for that matter), you can use YDL and run OS X on 
top of it.  Maybe this has been suggested before; sorry I haven't been 
following this thread very closely.
