Ib my friend's linux system (SUSE 8.1 (X86)) there is a file (=20
/etc/init.d/boot.local from memory) in which he puts last-minute instruct=
ions=20
which are to be followed each time the system starts up. He uses this fi=
le=20
to load modules into his kernel to support a zip disk. It seems a very=20
convenient way to upload instructions each time the computer is started u=
p.

Reference to my installation of YDL (2.3) shows that this file does not e=
xist. =20
Does anyone have a location for this file in YDL?

I need to have it because each time I start up my machine I have to becom=
e=20
'superuser' and bring down my eth0 interface because otherwise I cannot g=
et=20
my internet working beyond a simple login/authentication.

Can you assist? - Please reply to me off-list with suggestions.
