I installed NetBSD 1.6 on my SE/30 not long ago. It wasn't too bad, as long as you read the directions thoroughly, more than once, ahead of time. The biggest problem I had was that it didn't seem to like my partitioning strategy. I know that the mac68k port had some issues with "large" HDs, which may have been what I ran into. (I have a 1.2 GB drive.) I ended up just combining my /tmp and /var into the root partition, then it was fine.

To get back on topic, I recently upgraded my YDL 2.1 box to 2.3. Haven't had time to really do anything yet though. It did not go very smoothly - lots of package conflicts, and it would uninstall most of what it said it had installed. I guess I'll be doing some of that manually. The DHCP seems to still be uncooperative, and that was the main reason for the upgrade.
