OSX Gone --> Yellow Dawg / Debian Hybrid, Need Xinstall Advice

Hello all,

I finally had it w/ Apple.  The OSX Jaguar ground to a halt everytime I
tried to do anything in combination with the server and desktop.  There
would literally be minutes between command line prompts.

So -- I test installed Deiban and am now installing it for real on my
iMac.  But... I honestly believe that Yellow Dawg is the way to go with
the desktop.

Is there any way I can install Xfree86 separately from the basic install
??
