Airport network problems

I have just installed YDL 2.3 on an iBook dual USB. I am new to YDL although
I have installed Linux on a number of x86 PC's.

All went well with the setup, but I am having difficulty with the airport
network setup. The set up is as follows:

the in built network card eth0 is set up as 192.168.0.3, but is not
connected to anything.
The airport is eth1 at 192.168.0.2.

The gateway is 192.168.0.1 which is a wireless card in a PC which is
connected to the internet via a USB DSL modem.

Netmask for all IP's is 255.255.255.0

In Mac OS9 or OS X I can just set up the IP's and the internet access is OK.
In linux, while I can ping between the ibook and the pc, I can't access the
internet from the iBook.

I'm not a network whizz and I don't really know where to start.


Any help please?
