trouble with yd 2.3 partition on tiBook

Did you install Jaguar before or after YDL? If you install it after
YDL, it will take over the boot process. I *think* yaboot can fix it -
read "man yaboot" for details.

I have triple boot set up on mine, and I installed them in this order:

OS 9
OS C
YDL 2.3

and I get a boot menu that lets me choose which OS to boot each time, or
defaults to YDL if I don't make a choice in 5 seconds. I haven't had
any problems with this.

I watched the video several times on the YDL site about setting up dual
or triple boot, and that helped. I'm more used to lilo on x86 Linux boxes.

I had display problems after waking from sleep mode, after I mucked with
pmud power managements config files. I reinstalled YDL and no problems
since, except that it seems that if the USB mouse is plugged in when I
close the lid, that some parts of the GUI don't redraw properly in use.

My solution is to unplug the USB mouse before closing the lid...and it
seems to work perfectly every time.

HTH,

Fred
