Problem getting to graphic interface

Thank you very much for the help, HTH. I shall now see if , 
XFree86-libs-4.1.0-3d.ppc.rpm, which is one of the 770 packages on 
YellowDogLinux 2.1 was installed. It contains LibXmuu.so.1 so I 
suppose that it was passed over during the installation. If so, I 
shall install it and my problem should be solved.
