eth0 failed

I believe it's not failing to find the ethernet card, it's failing to 
find a IP. Chances are you have eth0 to grab an IP using DHCP or BootP. 
If you set it up statically (which you can change later on without 
restarting if you need to use the ethernet card dynamically), it should 
boot up fine.
