iBook2 800 12 inch YD 3.0 Startup Issues

I'm back at it again.  Somehow I've got to make this thing work.

I have two major issues:

1. Airport card is unsupported (my conclusion after now uncounted reinstalls,
patches, how-tos, etc. -- I hope to be proven wrong).

2. Combo drive is not detected, so I can't burn CDs.  This is a nuisance since
the machine has no floppy.

Is there anyone out there with an iBook2 12 that has either of these issues resolved?
