Need to switch from Window Maker back to Gnome

Another simple way to do this is by editing via terminal
/etc/sysconfig/desktop and change its content for something like this:

DESKTOP="GNOME"

Save the changes you made, and the next time you restart and login to
your X session you'll be using Gnome desktop...
