Answer to Suzanne Payne:
I got a similar problem at my UMAX PULSAR (S900):
Although I told YDL3.0 NOT to use videodriver, graphical ananconda started
an my Village Tronic MPDD+ videocard distorted to half of the screensize,
making anaconda unreadable.
After several attempts I figured out, that I had to choose 256 colors under
MacOS Classic AND plug off all USB- and FireWire-Cards.
Try it!
