redhat-config-securitylevel stopped working ?!

Well, :-) 

redhat-config-securitylevel starts. The GUI shows up,
after changes are made i enter "OK/Yes", it quits,

...and no changes are applied.

When i start the application from CLI,it tells:

"(redhat-config-securitylevel.py1977): GdK-WARNING **: locale not
supported by Xlib "

and after changes made:

"redhat-config-securitylevel.py1977): GdK-WARNING **: can not set locale
modifiers"

Any help is greatly appreciated
