Installing software

In YDL 2.x I remember there was a utility that let me uninstall 
unwanted software, and which also allowed to add additional packages.

In v3 I cannot find anything like that. I am trying to install Gnome 
and Nautilus, plus perhaps some other packages from the CD. How do I 
do that?
