There exists a nifty program called Mac-on-Linux which allows the Mac OS
to run within the YDL environment. It can either take over your entire
screen (while you are in Linux) or it can run within a window at the
same time you are running Linux apps. Within Mac On Linux you will see
whatever partitions the Mac OS normally sees; and you have access (which
is really really weird) to every Mac OS application with one or two
exceptions. One exception I discovered is that you will confuse the Mac
if you tell it to access your modem in any way while it is running
within Mac On Linux; remember it is running within a Linux window after
all which means that the pppdaemon controls the modem, not the Mac. I
must admit however this limitation may have been overcome in the current
version of Mac On Linux

That should address all 4 of your questions. It is theoretically; that
is, it should be possible, to run Mac On Linux such that when the Mac OS
is in its window it is also running within a Mac window a PC
environment!! That is a bit strange for most people but try it out.
You won't know until you try it. Maybe as you gravitate more to Linux
you'll leave behind both the Mac OS and the PC environment. You'll see
what I mean when you start working with Open Office and how flexible the
YDL environment is. Warning; don't expect to find TerraSoft's
capabilities and thoughtful products such as Anaconda in other distros
or even on other PPC's running Linux or even Red Hat or other Linux
running on a Intel or knock-off chip.
