Can't recognize CD, at all....

Hi folks,

I downloaded and burned the YDL 2.3 ISOs.  It all seems successful, and 
I was able to load boot-X on the old 6400 powermac (yep, i said old) 
and begin the install process.

Somewhere along the line, though, things went poorly.  When it began to 
install, it said something like" YDL only supports installs from the 
CD, and you haven;t got one I can read, ok?".  Hmmm.  Its an Apple 
machine, with an Apple CD drive, that works (it loaded the boot-X).

Any advice?  My error in CD formatting?

Similar experience with my G4.  i have a partition just waiting, but it 
refuses to boot from the CD.

All advice welcome.
