2.3 on a 7300, dhcp config problems

well I was able to install 2.3 on a 7300, with a g3 card, ide 
controller card, ati 128vr, and usb./firewire card all attached no 
problems

i have a cable network w/router

at installation time, it could not configure itself using dhcp, so now 
I have to do it manually, just not sure how


here are my network settings /etc/sysconfig/network

can someplease guide as to what i need to change/add to have dhcp 
configured or at least tell it where to input the tcp settings?
