Recover disk partitions on a 3400

If I am not mistaken, a powerbook 3400 can not run Mac OS 9.2 at all.  
HTe last supported OS it could run is Mac OS 9.1.  Mac OS 9.2 requires 
a G3 or G4. So you will have to boot from a 9.1 CD
