Recover disk partitions on a 3400

It's, um, not booting off the CD, though. I've got a 9.2.1 CD and it doesn't
even seem to seek on that disk. All I get is the QuestionMark-FloppyDisk and
a whirring sound that repeats every five seconds from the internal drive.

I can get to Open Firmware 2.0.1 but that's it.

Where to from here?....
