how to re-create my partitions without losing my Linux install?

Hi I'm using YDL 2.2 on a pismo Powerbook 500 with Linux sharing the
internal HD with Mac OS9.

Somehow I deleted the /boot and when I created a new one the Mac boots
up into the OS9 and I don't get yaboot and therefore no Linux.I can't
see it or mount it with Drive Setup.

At what stage does the YDL installer put yaboot in the /boot partition ?

How can I get back into YDL 2.2? Is there a way around this partition hell?
There's too much on my YDL partition that I don't want to lose it. Please Help!
