Older Versions of GCC

Hi Folks,

I have an application that must be rebuilt after conversion to YDL 3.0.
Trouble is under 3.0 the default compiler is gcc 3.0... and this application
just isn't ready for that compiler.  How do I recover the use of gcc 2.95,
which was the earlier default?  My guess is that I must reinstall the 
package
using rpm but how do I find it?
