howto use data-projector (aka beamer) with YDL 3.0 on iBook2

Hi

Since YDL looks so great, I next want to show it to the world by
giving a (powerpoint type) talk with it. So I'll be connecting
a dataprojector aka beamer to the video-out port of the iBook.
I guess I should do some configuration in advance of my old friend
XF86Config. Anyone done this before? Any advice? Or will it work
automatically...
