Upgrading hard disks in iMac

Hi Norberto,

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my question. In your scenario 
though, are you suggesting that I need three drives? One to boot into 
the OS from, and then the source and destination drive? I'm sorry if I'm 
not following this correctly. I ask this because of when you say that 
"you put the source drive and destination drive in the system so that 
they don't affect the boot."

Having an iMac I just have the internal drive, which is the one I wish 
to copy, and copy it to another larger drive which will replace the 
existing one.

When you say that it's easy to clone "identical drives", do you mean if 
they are both SCSI or IDE, or that they be the same size, etc.?
