D-link makes a PCI card and I am using it in my G4 mac without problems for MACOS, (9 and X). I was never able to get YDL running on my system for unknown reasons (couln't get Yaboot to run), but during the install the YDL 3.0 installer recognized both the on board ethernet (eth0) and the PCI card (eth1). You can check the exact model number from the D-link web site) I purchased the card at office depot and I think with the two (that's yew, 2 rebates), the net cost was less than $10.!
good luck
