Just wanted to tell you folks about my experience with Yellow Dog Linux and
their customer service department.

I placed an order on Monday, September 1 via their web site.

On Tuesday I realized that I was going to need this product ASAP (web
databse project) and found it here in Portland, OR at an Apple dealer. So I
called YDL to inquire about my order and the lady/woman who answered the
phone immediately acknowledged my order and addressed my concern that on
their web site it indicated that orders would not resume shipping until late
next week. She told me that she had a copy (not the latest one but I don't
need that) on her desk and she could get it shipped out immediately.

Within 20 minutes of my telephone call I received an email confirming
shipment with a UPS tracking number. I was more than impressed.

I checked today and my order is now in the state of Oregon and is scheduled
to be delivered tomorrow morning. Wow!

In an era where 'customer service' has come to mean 'Get them off the phone
now!' this kind of attention to a customer's needs is very reassuring.

I'm looking forward to receiving my package tomorrow and beginning the
install process. 

>From my perspective Yellow Dog Linux is a great company and it's this kind
of commitment to their customers that will insure their continued success.
