Having same problem with yum

I switched to apt-get and it seems to be updating the same packages as
yum was, primarily kdelibs and XFree86.

The great thing about apt-get is that if a download fails, it picks up
right where it was.

Kdelibs is a 33MB download. On a dialup in a rural area, like I am,
there is basically no chance of yum successfully downloading all 33MB at
once.

Anybody know why TerraSoft is phasing out apt-get?
