OpenOffice: Copy & Paste

I have OO 1.0.2 installed on my iMac running YDL3.0. As others have 
found to their grief, it lacks Copy and Paste function.

OpenOffice now offers their stable "legacy build" for download--ver 
1.0.3. Has anyone installed that version? Is the C&P problem fixed in 
that version? I really need to clarify this question before going to the 
trouble of installing. (I tried to install the OO1.1RC version for 
LinuxPPC, but was not able to get it to install.)
