Firewire harddrive

I have an external firewire drive and it works just fine.  Just keep in mind 
Linux still doesn't have the greatest HFSplus filesystem - I have my drive 
formatted to ext2 - refular hfs should be fine.  You can read and write to it 
with some new tools, but I've found weird things tend to happen with the 
permissions.  I have no idea if you can boot YDL from it.  I would think any 
keyboard and mouse would work - aren't they all standard?  Sometimes 
keyboards have extra features that might not work I guess, but the standard 
stuff shouldn't be a problem.
