Hi Samuel,

I just this minute got my new ver of OpenOffice installed--

  OOo_1.1RC_LinuxPPC

I'm still thrashing around with assorted chores e.g., config'ng my
printer, but youbetcha, the first thing I checked was that C&P was
functional. It is. Hallelujah!

I got my download
 OOo_1.1RC_LinuxPPC_installer.tar.gz
from
http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/yellowdog/software/openoffice/?N=A

Note that they also offer for LinuxPPC the stable ver 1.0.3 (however, I
was not able to find out anywhere I looked whether C&P was fixed in that
ver) & the 1.1Beta2, though don't know why you'd want the Beta at this
point.

By the way, it is recommended that you have java functional before
installing OO 1.1RC. I got my

j2re-1.3.1 <http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/yellowdog/software/openoffice/j2re-1.3.1-02d-FCS-linux-ppc.bin>

as an rpm off my YDL CD's; but it is also available at the same site.

The download was a pain (I'm on dial-up) & I had to do it twice because
the md5sum wasn't right the first time for some reason. But once I
actually started the install it was very easy.

Good luck. --Harvey
