ethernet card: working/not working

turn on the fire wall? why?

the ip is automatic setup for dhcp.

yes eth0 is active during boot.

no i do not have my own hostname

yes the network config app sees the card (see below The hardware is a 
(UniNorth 2 GMAC (Sun GEM)) )
