xine won't play anything

Thanks to everyone who gave me advice on my last
problem! It turns out I needed to install some stuff
off the CDs that I left out in my first install.
Since then I've successfully installed many programs,
but xine is one I've been having a lot of trouble
with. I installed version 1.0.0 with yum, but it
doesn't seem to be able to play .mpg files. Does
anyone know if there are any plugins for file formats
that yum doesn't download?
