Can't login!!!

ok, everything was fine, but now as I tried to login, it won't let me.

Whenever I enter the CORRECT login & pass, there's a very quick error 
message(can't really catch it). Then it's at the prompt again.

When I enter the wrong user & pass, it displays the standard login 
incorrect.

My guess is, I think when i went into File Menu >> Authencation, then 
his LDAP, I screwed things up.

Is there a way for me to get around this, and login the normal way??
Right now I'm booted in Mac os X. But I would like to use Linux!!!

ANY help is much appreciated.
