Running YDL 3.0.1 and I'm trying to compile a new kernel to allow me
to use a USB Wireless adapter on a 12" G4 Powerbook 867MHz. I'm
following the steps listed on the Yellow Dog How To List and my new
kernel 2.6.8.1 from kernel.org compiles fine with no errors but when I
try and run 'make modules' it runs for a bit and then I get an error
that reads like this:

Building modules, stage 2.
  MODPOST
modpost: vmlinux no symtab?
make[1]: *** [__modpost] Error 134
make: *** [modules] Error 2

Anyone have any ideas as to what thius means or how I solve it?
Is this because I'm using a standard kernel source and not a
PPC kernel? Thanks for any help.
