17" titanium trackpad problem (related to trackpad size???)

I'm having the same problem. It not even limited to Yellow Dog. Every 
Destro I've installed does this. This includes YDL 4.0. I've tried 
changing the emulation settings but nothing helps. It makes it nearly 
impossible to work, type, or mouse because the slightest touch causes 
the pop up menus.
