YDL 2.3 install problem

First, why are you using Yellow Dog Linux 2.3? Unless you have specific 
reasons to use YDL 2.3, you might have much better luck with YDL 3.0.1:

Note that the latest version of YDL is 4.0 which does not support your 
G3 Desktop (for your information, your Power Mac G3 (Desktop) is an "Old 
World" machine that uses Apple's proprietary ADB keyboard and mouse).

Meanwhile, try borrowing another ADB keyboard and mouse (especially one 
from Apple if you are using a third party keyboard/mouse), and see if 
that lets your installation proceed.
